As of August 2, 88% of the U.S. soybean crop is blooming, with 62% setting pods, showing 7 percentage points advancement over the 5-year average, according to USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS). Despite these figures, the condition ratings remained steady at 63% good/excellent.
During the week ending July 30, U.S. soybean export shipments totaled 343,941 metric tons (12.64 million bushels), marking a 6% decline from the prior week and a 45.3% decrease from the same week last year. Indonesia was the leading buyer at 78,702 metric tons, followed by Mexico at 74,245 metric tons, and Germany at 58,129 metric tons. Additionally, USDA confirmed the sale of 488,000 metric tons of U.S. soybeans to China for the 2026/27 marketing year.
June’s soybean crush stood at 217.8 million bushels, slightly below the average estimate of 218.3 million bushels, but up 2.21% from May and 10.61% higher year-over-year. Bean oil stocks fell to 2.096 billion pounds, a decrease of 9.45% from the previous month and a 10.7% increase year-over-year.
