Semiconductor Industry Could Reach $7.9 Trillion by 2033, According to Nvidia CEO
Jensen Huang, CEO of Nvidia, predicts that the semiconductor industry could expand to $7.9 trillion over the next decade, up from an estimated $791.7 billion last year. This assertion comes amid the rising demand for AI technologies, specifically autonomous systems known as agentic AI.
Nvidia has reported a 85% year-over-year revenue increase for Q1 FY2027, totaling $81.6 billion, while also projecting a significant market opportunity of $200 billion for its new stand-alone CPUs. Meanwhile, competitor Micron Technology showcased a remarkable growth with Q3 FY2026 revenues soaring 346% year-over-year to $41.46 billion. Both companies are currently highlighted as prime investment opportunities amid projections for continued growth in the semiconductor market.
