AI Cloud Computing Growth in Q2
Amazon, Microsoft, and Alphabet have reported impressive growth in their cloud computing sectors for Q2 2023. Amazon Web Services (AWS) saw a 37% revenue growth, surpassing analysts’ expectations of 31%. Microsoft Azure recorded a 43% increase, although it marked a slower growth rate compared to the previous quarter. Alphabet’s Google Cloud dramatically outperformed with an 82% revenue growth, aided by sales of custom AI chips.
All three companies are heavily investing in data centers to support AI workloads, with valuations showing Microsoft trading at a discount compared to Amazon and Alphabet. As AI demand is projected to rise significantly in the next decade, these companies are seen as solid long-term investments.
