**Broadcom Reports Surge in AI Semiconductor Revenue**

Broadcom (NASDAQ: AVGO) announced a staggering 143% year-over-year increase in AI semiconductor revenue, reaching $10.8 billion for the fiscal second quarter, which ended on May 3, 2026. CEO Hock Tan reiterated an ambitious forecast, projecting that AI semiconductor revenue will exceed $100 billion by fiscal 2027. This forecast comes amidst total revenue of $22.2 billion for the quarter, marking a 48% uptick from the previous year.

The growth can be attributed to six primary custom-chip customers, including Google, Meta Platforms, Anthropic, and OpenAI. These customers are expected to average over $16 billion in purchases each by fiscal 2027, contributing significantly to Broadcom’s ambitious revenue target. With AI semiconductor revenue anticipated to grow over 200% year-over-year in the next quarter, the company is positioned for continued expansion in the heavily invested AI sector.
