Elbit Systems (NASDAQ: ESLT) reported a 15.9% increase in second-quarter revenue for 2026, amounting to $2.287 billion, bolstered by growing demand across Europe, Israel, the U.S., and Asia-Pacific. The company’s backlog reached a record $32 billion, with 73% of this backlog stemming from international customers. Key contracts included awards worth approximately $370 million from U.S. Customs and Border Protection and $212 million for the U.S. Army’s ENVG-B night-vision system.
GAAP operating income rose to $218.8 million, or 9.6% of revenue, up from $157.8 million (8.0% of revenue) a year earlier. Diluted earnings per share increased 34% to $3.61. The company also reported increased cash flow from operations, reaching $237 million compared to $120 million a year ago. Elbit’s investments in research and development rose to $159.1 million, driven by initiatives in next-generation technologies and AI capabilities.
Management has increased capital expenditures to approximately $300 million as it expands production capacity, emphasizing its focus on enhancing productivity and delivery capabilities. Elbit is also actively pursuing further international contracts, with strong performance and demand reported in sectors such as electronic warfare, unmanned systems, and guided munitions.
