Nvidia Reports Record Data Center Networking Revenue

Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA) announced a record $14.8 billion in data center networking revenue for its fiscal 2027 first quarter, which ended on April 26. This figure represents a 199% increase year-over-year and surpasses the $8.6 billion generated in all of fiscal 2024. The company’s networking revenue has seen exponential growth, rising from $13 billion in fiscal 2025 to $31.4 billion in fiscal 2026.

As AI systems continue to evolve, high-performance networking is increasingly critical for efficient operations. Nvidia currently holds a leading 21.5% share of data center Ethernet switching revenue, according to IDC, with the opportunity to further enhance its market position through advancements like NVLink Fusion, which connects various custom AI processors to its networking infrastructure.

Analysts project Nvidia’s earnings will increase to approximately $12.90 per share in fiscal 2028, supporting a potential market capitalization that could reach $7.5 trillion, up from around $5.3 trillion today.
