**Wheat Market Update: Gains Amid Global Developments**
Wheat prices have shown a significant rebound early on Friday, with Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) wheat currently trading up by 11¼ cents. This follows mixed activity the previous day, where September 26 CBOT wheat closed at $6.52¾ and saw an increase in open interest by 10,313 contracts. Meanwhile, the Weekly Export Sales report indicated a net sales total of 255,931 metric tons for the week of August 6, representing a 64.59% decrease compared to the same week last year, with Mexico being the largest buyer at 101,100 metric tons.
Global developments include Ukraine’s recent proposal for a truce with Russia to cease attacks on civilian targets in the Black Sea, which Russia has rejected. Additionally, Taiwanese flour mills purchased 97,200 metric tons of wheat from the U.S. overnight, reflecting ongoing international trade activity in the wheat sector amid geopolitical tensions.
