Microsoft Aims for $5 Trillion Valuation by 2029
Microsoft’s market value stands at approximately $3.57 trillion, requiring a 40% increase to reach $5 trillion by the end of 2029. This translates to an annual growth rate of about 10% over the next three years. In fiscal 2026, the company achieved an 18% revenue growth to $331.8 billion, with net income rising 31% to $133.7 billion.
To hit the $5 trillion goal, Microsoft would need to report around $187 billion in annual profit, a target that exceeds fiscal 2026’s figures by about 40%. The company’s cloud services, particularly Azure, showed strong performance, surpassing $100 billion in revenue with a year-over-year growth of 43% in the fourth quarter.
As of now, Microsoft’s stock trades at approximately $480 per share, reflecting a price-to-earnings ratio of about 27. If earnings growth slows, the path to the $5 trillion goal may be more challenging, but strong indicators suggest the company is on track to meet its ambitious targets.
