In Q2 2026, SpaceX (NASDAQ: SPCX) reported a revenue increase of 92% year-over-year, reaching $7.8 billion, while reducing its net loss from $1.01 billion to $541 million. Capital expenditures surged from $2.83 billion to $18.37 billion, primarily driven by a $15.8 billion investment in expanding its AI division.

To boost its AI business, SpaceX acquired xAI in February 2026 and recently purchased the AI startup Cursor. Elon Musk forecasts that AI revenue could rise from $3.5 billion in 2025 to between $700 billion and $750 billion by 2030. The company aims to increase its data center capacity from 1.4 GW to 10 GW by next year, further supporting its multi-billion-dollar compute hosting contracts with enterprise clients.
