**Nintendo’s Stock Performance and Console Sales Surge**

Nintendo (OTC: NTDOY) has experienced a significant rebound, with its stock rising more than 30% in the last 30 days, attributed to the launch of its new console, the Nintendo Switch 2. Released last year, the Switch 2 has sold nearly 24 million units in its first year, despite a $50 price increase leading to a U.S. retail price of $500. The company’s operating income reached approximately $900 million last quarter, supporting revenue figures nearing $15 billion.

As of the second half of 2026, Nintendo has outperformed stocks in the “Magnificent Seven” category, climbing 27% since July 1, while Microsoft follows closely at 26%. In contrast to concerns surrounding AI and memory chip supply affecting larger tech companies, Nintendo’s low market cap of around $64 billion and expected net profit of $1.92 billion positions it as a potentially strong investment for the coming year, especially if the memory chip market stabilizes.
