Anthropic Prepares for Major IPO
Founded in 2021 by former OpenAI employees Daniela and Dario Amodei, Anthropic is gearing up for what is anticipated to be the biggest AI-focused IPO in history. On June 1st, 2026, the company filed its Form S-1 with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), marking a key step towards going public. Currently, there is an 83% chance that Anthropic will debut by the end of October 2026, and a 93% likelihood that it will go public by the end of that year.
As of now, Anthropic boasts a private valuation of approximately $965 billion and an annualized revenue run rate of around $65 billion, making it the fastest-growing technology company in history. Key stakeholders in the company include Amazon, with a stake valued at ~$43 billion, and SK Telecom, which has a stake worth ~$2.7 billion, representing roughly 20% of its market cap.
