Soybean Prices Surge to Record Levels on Wednesday

On Wednesday, September 26, soybean prices increased by 20 to 28 ½ cents. The cmdtyView national average cash bean price reached $12.30 3/4, reflecting a gain of 28 ½ cents. Soymeal futures surged between $5.90 and $10.10, while Soy Oil experienced minor fluctuations.

The USDA announced a private export sale of 333,000 metric tons of soybeans to China for the 2026/27 period. Additionally, China’s Sinograin sold 222,782 metric tons of the 290,000 metric tons of imported soybeans offered during an auction.

The upcoming weekly export sales report, set to be released Thursday, is anticipated to show net sales for old crop beans between 200,000 metric tons and net cancellations of the same amount, with new crop sales expected at 1.5 to 3 million metric tons.
