SpaceX (SPCX) shares experienced notable volatility since its IPO on Nasdaq two and a half months ago, opening at $150 after an initial price of $135, reaching a peak of $225.64, but falling to $104.83 in early August. As of now, the stock has recovered to approximately $144. Despite the fluctuation, SpaceX reported robust Q2 results, with revenues exceeding estimates by over 16% and a narrower loss per share.

Key contributors to SpaceX’s performance include its Starlink service, which generated $4.29 billion in revenue—up 66% year-over-year—and its growing AI segment that brought in $2.56 billion, a 247.5% increase year-over-year. Starlink has reached 12 million subscribers and reported $1.66 billion in operating income, highlighting its crucial role in SpaceX’s revenue stream. The company also projects significant growth from Starship’s future launches, with its next targeted orbital attempt in mid-September.
