**Ford Motor Company Recall Announcement**
Ford Motor Company is recalling 148,663 Mustang vehicles due to an electrical wiring defect that could lead to a loss of drive power or disrupt essential functions, such as headlights, increasing the risk of accidents. The recall affects 2024-2026 Mustang models manufactured between September 7, 2022, and June 9, 2026. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) estimates that about 1% of these vehicles may be impacted.
Affected owners will be notified by mail between August 31 and September 4, 2026, with a follow-up once a remedy is available, expected around March 2027. Owners can take their vehicles to a Ford or Lincoln dealership for free wiring harness replacement.
