Berkshire Hathaway’s Portfolio Updates Under Greg Abel

Under the leadership of Greg Abel, Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE: BRKA, BRKB) has seen the addition of Alphabet (NASDAQ: GOOG, GOOGL) to its portfolio, which now represents 9.9% of total holdings. As of 2023, Apple’s (NASDAQ: AAPL) stake remains the largest at 20.2%, followed by American Express (NYSE: AXP) at 13.7%, and Coca-Cola (NYSE: KO) at 9.8%. Together, these four stocks account for 53.6% of Berkshire’s equity portfolio.

Alphabet became a significant addition after Buffett’s tenure as CEO. The company’s robust performance includes a 82% year-over-year increase in Google Cloud sales in Q2 2026 and a backorder valued at $514 billion, cementing its status as a leader in technology and AI. Apple continues to show strength with three of its models ranking as the top-selling smartphones globally, while Coca-Cola remains a stalwart, expecting $848 million in dividends in 2026.
