Microsoft has launched Dynamics 365 Activate, an AI-powered migration tool aimed at helping organizations transition from Salesforce’s CRM platform to Dynamics 365 with reduced manual effort and risk. Currently in public preview, the tool evaluates a company’s existing CRM data, workflows, and customizations, offering tailored migration recommendations. The move comes as Microsoft seeks to enhance its competitiveness in the CRM market, coinciding with a strategic shift to a continuous “AI at Work” roadmap and an array of new AI features within Dynamics 365.

In its fiscal fourth-quarter results for 2026, Microsoft reported a 13% revenue growth in Dynamics 365, a deceleration from previous quarters which saw growth rates as high as 22%. The slower momentum is attributed to a challenging year-over-year comparison and lengthening sales cycles, particularly in the CRM space. Guidance for fiscal 2027 indicates continued low-teens growth, underscoring the critical importance of innovative tools like Dynamics 365 Activate in potentially revitalizing the business line and addressing competition from Salesforce and Oracle.
