During the Q2 earnings season, major tech companies Microsoft, Amazon, Alphabet, and Meta reported combined capital expenditures (CapEx) of approximately $170 billion, as they accelerate investments in AI infrastructure.

Microsoft led with $41 billion in CapEx, followed by Alphabet at $44.9 billion, Amazon at $54.2 billion, and Meta at $31.1 billion. This surge in spending aligns with increased demand in their respective sectors, particularly in enterprise AI and cloud services.

Contributing to this growth, Bloom Energy achieved record quarterly revenue of $1.07 billion, marking a 166% year-over-year increase, driven by solid-oxide fuel cell systems for data centers. The company will join the S&P 500 in the upcoming quarterly rebalancing, further enhancing its market position.
