Nvidia Poised for Rapid Growth in CPU Market
Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA) is set to make significant inroads into the central processing unit (CPU) market, traditionally dominated by Intel and AMD. The company projects that its data center CPU revenue will more than double in the next fiscal year, bolstered by strong demand for its Grace CPUs and the launch of its next-generation Vera family of processors. In its fiscal Q2 2027 report, Nvidia disclosed $5 billion in sales from the Grace CPUs over the last 12 months.
In recent years, Nvidia has shifted its focus towards CPUs due to the increasing demand for AI processing on these devices. The company is now entering full production of its Vera CPUs, which are designed to deliver higher performance and efficiency than existing data center CPUs, positioning Nvidia as a strong competitor against current market leaders.
