Soybean Prices Rally in Early Monday Trade

Soybeans saw gains of 9 to 11 cents in trading on Monday morning, following a decline on Friday where futures were down 9 to 17 cents, with November ending the week up 7 cents. The cmdtyView national average Cash Bean price fell by 16 1/4 cents to $12.44 1/4. Managed money reduced their record net long positions in soybean futures and options by 21,321 contracts to 244,710 in the week ending September 15.

On Friday, the USDA reported a private export sale of 111,000 metric tons of soybeans to China for the 2026/27 season. Meanwhile, AgRural estimates that Brazil’s soybean crop is 1.2% planted as of Thursday, ahead of last year’s 0.9% pace. Additionally, China’s President Xi is expected to meet with President Trump this week, with trade discussions anticipated.
