Amazon argued that Meta’s lack of disclosure regarding Muse’s shopping capabilities and its potential data handling practices posed risks.
In contrast, Shopify (NASDAQ: SHOP) CEO Tobi Lütke announced on Monday the company’s collaboration with Muse to enable AI checkout through Shop Pay across all Shopify stores. Following this news, Shopify shares surged 15% over two days, closing at $147.74. The company reported a gross merchandise volume of $115.6 billion in Q2, reflecting a 32% year-over-year growth, and the integration of Muse could further enhance transaction efficiency through Shop Pay.
