AMD Achieves $1 Trillion Valuation

Advanced Micro Devices (NASDAQ: AMD) has reached a $1 trillion market valuation, joining 13 other U.S. public companies that have achieved this milestone. This surge in value, marked by a 190% increase in 2026 as of September 25, is driven by high demand for its artificial intelligence (AI) chips and data center solutions.

During the second quarter of 2026, AMD reported total revenues of $11.5 billion, with the data center segment generating $6.7 billion, a 107% year-over-year increase. Looking ahead, CEO Lisa Su projects that AMD’s data center revenue could more than double by 2027, fueled by a rapidly growing market expected to reach $1.4 trillion by 2030.

Despite its impressive growth, AMD’s current price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio stands at 109, significantly higher than Nvidia’s 28.3. Analysts suggest that while AMD’s growth outlook remains positive, the stock may not achieve a $2 trillion valuation in the near term.
