Tesla’s Record Electric Truck Order
Tesla has secured a historic order for 2,500 Semi trucks from ZET SCALE, which is the largest electric heavy commercial truck order in U.S. history. This order has the potential to nearly double the number of electric trucks on U.S. roads, as ZET SCALE plans to introduce over 10,000 electric trucks over time.
The order is part of ZET Financial’s leasing program, which mitigates the residual-value risk for fleet operators, encouraging greater adoption of Tesla’s new technology. The company’s dedicated Semi Factory in Sparks, Nevada, is ramping up production with an annual capacity of approximately 50,000 trucks, although projected outputs for 2026 are estimated between 5,000 and 15,000 units.
