The index opened higher, and the majority of sectors found themselves in positive territory, with mining stocks leading gains and media stocks on a downward trajectory. In the same vein, the Asia-Pacific stocks displayed a mixture of outcomes post the BOJ decision.
Highlights for the session include: Euro Area consumer confidence flash for January, Richmond Fed Manufacturing Index. As the trading day unfolded, the U.S. 10-year Treasury yield (US10Y) rose 3 basis points to 4.12%, closely shadowed by Germany’s 10-year yield, up 3 basis points to 2.32%, and U.K.’s 10-year yield, also up 3 basis points to 3.93%.
