On CNBC’s “Halftime Report Final Trades,” Steve Weiss of Short Hills Capital Partners emphasized that Leidos Holdings, Inc. LDOS still retains a bargain price with its new management. He expressed his strong enthusiasm for the company, affirming his confidence by stating, “I like this one a lot.”

Leidos revealed better-than-anticipated financial results for the fourth quarter. The company reported a remarkable fourth-quarter FY23 revenue growth of 8% year-over-year, reaching $3.98 billion, surpassing the anticipated $3.80 billion consensus.

In a similar vein, Leidos saw an adjusted EPS of $1.99, marking a 9% increase year-over-year, and surpassing the consensus of $1.74.

Jim Lebenthal of Cerity Partners advocated for The Walt Disney Company DIS as his final trade.

Disney also revealed better-than-anticipated earnings for its first quarter and announced a cash dividend of 45 cents per share. The renowned movie studio further declared a new share repurchase program and indicated an expectation of fiscal 2024 earnings at approximately $4.60 per share.

Notably, the company disclosed a $1.5 billion investment in the video game company Epic Games, triggering dismay from activist investor Nelson Peltz. Peltz has been embroiled in a proxy fight with Disney for months, primarily due to stock underperformance.

Similarly, NextEra Energy reported stellar results for its fourth quarter.

Joe Terranova of Virtus Investment Partners selected The Progressive Corporation PGR. Progressive reported results for the month ended Jan. 31, 2024, with a striking net income of $700.7 million.
