Applied Materials reported earnings of $2.13 per share, surpassing the analyst consensus estimate of $1.91 by 11.52%. The company also posted quarterly sales of $6.71 billion, beating the analyst consensus estimate of $6.48 billion by 3.55%. Notably, this marks a 0.47% decline in sales compared to the same period last year when the company’s sales stood at $6.74 billion. Despite this decrease, investor confidence remained steadfast, propelling Applied Materials’ stock to climb by 8.3%, reaching $203.27 by the end of the trading day.
