Currently, over 61 million Americans are aged 65 or older, contributing to billions in annual revenue across healthcare, housing, and financial services. The U.S. long-term care market is expected to grow from $470 billion in 2024 to nearly $730 billion by 2030, with estimates that around 70% of adults will require assisted living care at some point in their lives.
Healthcare REITs, like Welltower Inc. (WELL), have already seen strong performance, with a 40% increase over the last year compared to 12% for the S&P 500. Additionally, healthcare-related companies are experiencing a surge in demand, supported by favorable valuations and high dividend yields, with Pfizer (PFE) currently offering a 6.7% dividend and being valued at a significant discount relative to the S&P 500.
