Airbus SE (EADSY) has signed a memorandum of understanding with flydubai for 150 A321neo aircraft. This deal aims to support flydubai’s network expansion, allowing the airline to open new routes with improved efficiency and passenger comfort. The A321neo aircraft provides significant fuel efficiency, achieving up to 20% less fuel burn and lower CO2 emissions than previous models.
The A321neo typically accommodates 180 to 220 passengers and boasts a range of up to 4,000 nautical miles (7,400 km). As of October 2025, the aircraft has received over 7,200 orders globally from nearly 100 customers. Airbus projects a demand for 43,420 new aircraft deliveries in the next 20 years to meet rising air traffic and replace older aircraft.
In the commercial aviation market, Airbus delivered 585 aircraft to 85 customers globally as of October 2025. Over the past six months, Airbus shares have increased by 29.5%, significantly outpacing the industry growth of 6.3%.
