Shares of Alkermes (ALKS) surged 26.5% over the past three months, buoyed by a 34% year-over-year increase in sales from its proprietary product portfolio, totaling $411.7 million in Q2 2026. This figure surpassed the company’s projected range of $385-$405 million for the quarter. Year-to-date, Alkermes’ shares have risen 75.9% compared to an industry average of 6.4%.
Key contributors to this growth include strong sales of Vivitrol ($236.9 million, up 6.4%) and Aristada ($190.5 million, up 9%). New addition Lumryz generated $136.1 million after Alkermes acquired Avadel Pharmaceuticals in February 2026. For 2026, Alkermes expects Vivitrol sales between $460-$480 million and Lumryz sales in the range of $315-$335 million.
The company is also advancing its clinical pipeline, notably with alixorexton, a investigational drug for narcolepsy, which received orphan drug designation from the FDA in June 2026. Successful development and approval could provide additional growth opportunities for Alkermes.
