Amazon’s Financial Overview Q2 2026

Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN) reported earnings of $5.75 per diluted share for Q2 2026, a significant increase from $1.68 in Q2 2025. However, the company faced a cash flow deficit, spending $169 billion against generated cash of $161.4 billion, leading to a shortfall of approximately $7.6 billion.

The financial results included $69 billion in “other” income linked to Amazon’s investment in Anthropic, contributing to a reported operating income of $51.3 billion. Amazon’s long-term debt rose from $65.6 billion at the end of 2025 to nearly $128.9 billion by the end of Q2 2026, reflecting increased spending to support AI initiatives.
