AMCON Reports Significant Year-Over-Year EPS Growth in Q1 Fueled by Robust Wholesale Distribution

AMCON Distributing Company (DIT) reported a significant earnings increase for Q1 fiscal 2026, with earnings per share (EPS) rising to $1.28, up from 57 cents in the same quarter last year. The company’s revenues reached $730.1 million, a 2.6% increase from $711.3 million year-over-year. Net income also surged 127.6% to $0.8 million compared to $0.3 million in the previous year.

The wholesale distribution segment, AMCON’s main revenue source, generated $719.3 million in sales, while the retail health food segment saw revenues of $10.8 million, but faced an operating loss of $0.2 million. The company’s operating expenses rose to $44.1 million from $43.2 million last year, amidst ongoing inflation pressures affecting labor and supply costs.

As of December 31, 2025, AMCON’s shareholders’ equity stood at $114.1 million, an increase from $113.1 million at the end of September. Inventory levels improved significantly, dropping from $153.3 million to $144.4 million, enhancing cash flow and reflecting better supply chain management.
