Intel and AMD Financial Highlights
Intel’s stock has surged approximately 520% over the past year, with first-quarter revenue reaching $13.6 billion, a 7% increase year-over-year, and a notable 22% growth in its data center and AI segment to $5.1 billion. In contrast, AMD’s data center revenue soared 57% year-over-year to a record $5.8 billion, contributing to an overall revenue increase of 38% to $10.3 billion in the same quarter. AMD’s adjusted earnings per share climbed 43% to $1.37.
Despite Intel’s impressive turnaround, it currently trades at nearly double AMD’s forward price-to-earnings ratio, with Intel’s exceeding 120 compared to AMD’s 73. While both companies are benefiting from rising AI demand, AMD is generating substantial profits and robust cash flow, making it appear as a more favorable investment at this time.
