Microsoft and Apple Financial Overview
As of the quarter ending December 31, 2025, Microsoft reported a net income of $38.5 billion, reflecting consistent revenue growth mainly driven by its cloud services. In contrast, Apple announced a net income of $42 billion for the quarter ending December 27, 2025, but relies increasingly on its services for revenue generation, as iPhone revenue growth slowed to just 6% year over year.
In their latest quarterly reports, Microsoft generated $81.3 billion in revenue for Q4 2025, while Apple achieved $143.8 billion in the same period. Despite Apple’s larger revenue figures, Microsoft has demonstrated a 44% increase in trailing-12-month revenue over the last three years, compared to Apple’s 13% growth during the same timeframe.
Investors should monitor the revenue gap between the two companies, especially during seasonal peaks, to assess future growth prospects and make informed investment decisions.
