BlackRock Set to Announce Strong Q1 2025 Earnings Soon

BlackRock is poised to announce its fiscal Q1 2025 earnings results before the market opens on Friday, April 11. Analysts predict that the company will report a profit of $10.84 per share, a 10.5% increase from $9.81 per share in the same quarter last year. Notably, BlackRock has consistently surpassed Wall Street’s bottom-line estimates for the last four quarters, including a 5.9% beat in Q4 2024.
For the entirety of fiscal 2025, expectations are that BLK will report an EPS of $47.41, reflecting an increase of 8.7% from $43.61 in fiscal 2024. Furthermore, EPS is forecasted to surge nearly 14% year-over-year to $54.03 in fiscal 2026.
BLK Stock has gained 9.9% in the past year, outperforming the S&P 500 Index’s ($SPX) 4.1% gain. However, the Stock has underperformed relative to the Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund’s (XLF) 14.8% return over the same time frame.
Shares of BlackRock jumped 5.2% on January 15 following the announcement of its strong Q4 2024 earnings results. The firm reported a 23.5% year-over-year rise in adjusted EPS to $11.93, with revenue climbing 22.6% to $5.7 billion—both figures surpassing expectations. The company’s assets under management (AUM) reached a record $11.6 trillion, powered by $281 billion in net inflows across all asset classes. Growth in BlackRock’s technology segment also drew investor attention, with a 12% rise in annual contract value for the Aladdin platform.
Analysts maintain a bullish outlook on BlackRock Stock, assigning an overall “Strong Buy” rating. Out of 18 analysts, there are 14 “Strong Buys,” two “Moderate Buys,” and two “Holds.” Currently, BLK trades below the average analyst price target of $1,170.65.
