Nvidia vs. Apple: Tech Giants Clash for Market Supremacy

Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA) currently holds the title of the world’s largest company with a market value of approximately $4.9 trillion, surpassing Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL), which has a market value of $4.89 trillion. This comes after Nvidia became the first company to reach a $4 trillion market value about a year ago. On July 17, Apple momentarily took the lead during the trading session, only for Nvidia to regain superiority by day’s end.

In its most recent quarter, Nvidia reported an impressive 85% increase in revenue, totaling more than $81 billion. The company’s gross margin has consistently exceeded 70%. Apple, while growing around 70% over the past three years, is seen as lagging in the artificial intelligence sector, recently beginning to roll out AI features across its devices last fall. Nonetheless, it remains a dominant player in the smartphone market, with the iPhone 17 recognized as the world’s best-selling smartphone in the first quarter, according to Counterpoint Research.
