In a recent conversation with internet personality and tech influencer Brian Tong, Apple Inc.’s AAPL senior vice president of worldwide marketing Greg “Joz” Joswiak shared his top three iPhone picks.

A Peek Behind the Curtain: The scene is set at Apple Park, where Tong engaged in a captivating dialogue with various Apple executives. Among them, he briefly chatted with the venerable veteran Joswiak, who has dedicated 38 years to the Cupertino tech behemoth.

As curiosity led the way, Tong posed a question to Joswiak, inquiring about his favorite trio of iPhones. He artfully phrased it, asking for the top three iPhones that resonate the most with Joswiak, be it emotionally, technically, or aesthetically.

Joswiak, with a spontaneous flair, rattled off his choices: “Gosh well, the iPhone 15, the iPhone 15 Pro, and the iPhone 15 Pro Max.” The duo erupted in laughter, acknowledging that indeed, these cutting-edge models are the crown jewels of Apple’s smartphone kingdom.

Digging Deeper: Tong playfully prodded Joswiak for not harkening back to the iconic first iPhone, launched in 2007, which many would have expected. The two men shared a chuckle over this nostalgic oversight.

Joswiak, undeterred, simply mused, “What’s not to love?” He proudly displayed his wallpaper, featuring a picture of him and his dear wife against a backdrop of Titanium’s exquisite sheen.

However, a tinge of regret laced his tone as he confessed sorrow for leaving out the iPhone 15 Plus. Alas, the constraints of naming only three shall not be trifled with.

Peering into the Significance: At the “Wonderlust” extravaganza hosted in the hallowed Steve Jobs Theater at Apple Park in September 2023, the tech colossus from California unfurled the alluring iPhone 15 series, bedecked with long-awaited features like the USB-C port and periscope camera.

For the enthusiasts, the iPhone 15 beckons at a modest $799, while the cream of the crop, the iPhone 15 Pro Max, flaunts a starting price tag of $1,199.

A blast from the past reveals that the launch of the iPhone 15 lineup last November spurred a renaissance in global smartphone sales. Reports indicated a 5% uptick in October on a year-on-year basis, breaking a daunting 27-month slump in sales.
