Apple’s Upcoming Smart Glasses

Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) is reportedly developing a new pair of smart glasses, anticipated to launch as early as 2024. These glasses will utilize a custom N401 processor and pair with the user’s iPhone, allowing hands-free access to Siri for tasks like making calls and identifying surroundings. The glasses are expected to feature two cameras but notably do not include a display, resulting in limited augmented reality capabilities.

To enhance the functionality of the glasses, Apple plans to integrate an upgraded version of Siri, powered by Google’s Gemini AI model, aimed at improving contextual awareness and app interaction. The potential launch follows Apple’s precedent set by the successful Apple Watch, which generated significant revenue in the wearables sector, accounting for $35.6 billion last year, with a substantial portion attributed specifically to the Apple Watch.
