AI Networking Firms Show Growth Potential
Broadcom (NASDAQ: AVGO) and Arista Networks (NYSE: ANET) are key players in the rapidly growing AI data center networking sector. Broadcom reported a 60% increase in revenue from its networking segment last quarter, attributed to its Tomahawk Ethernet switch, and anticipates a $100 billion custom AI chip business by fiscal 2027. Meanwhile, Arista experienced a 29% revenue growth to $2.49 billion last quarter, with AI networking revenue projected to double, despite supply chain challenges.
Broadcom’s strong position is bolstered by major contracts, including a $21 billion order from Anthropic for Tensor Processing Units. In contrast, Arista benefits from partnerships with tech giants like Microsoft and Meta, focusing on innovative software solutions. Notably, Broadcom’s valuation is more favorable, trading at a forward P/E ratio of 29 compared to Arista’s 37.5.
