**Ark Restaurants Corp. Reports Q2 Loss Amid Revenue Decline**
Ark Restaurants Corp. (ARKR) reported a narrower net loss of $1.8 million, or 50 cents per share, for the quarter ended March 28, 2026, improving from a loss of $9.3 million, or $2.57 per share, in the same quarter last year. Total revenues fell 7.9% to $36.6 million, down from $39.7 million. Key markets like New York and Washington, D.C. saw significant same-store sales declines of 12.3% and 18.7%, respectively, contributing to a total same-store sales drop of 7.6%.
Despite revenue challenges, operating loss improved to $1.7 million from $4.6 million a year ago, aided by reduced general and administrative expenses, which fell 28.7% to $2.4 million. Cash and cash equivalents stood at $11.5 million with total debt of $7.6 million, highlighting a stable balance sheet. Ark Restaurants also continues to navigate litigation involving its Bryant Park properties, which accounted for 13.3% of total revenues in the first half of fiscal 2026.
