Netflix Acquires AI Company InterPositive for $600 Million
Netflix (NASDAQ: NFLX) has acquired InterPositive, a company specializing in AI tools for filmmakers, for approximately $600 million. This acquisition, finalized in March, aims to enhance Netflix’s content production efficiency and lower costs, thereby potentially increasing margins and overall content output.
Streaming services accounted for just 48% of U.S. television time in February, indicating significant growth opportunities. Netflix anticipates its advertising business will generate $3 billion in sales this year, a 100% increase from 2025. Despite recent slower growth figures and a high valuation of 28.8 times forward earnings, Netflix continues to leverage its competitive advantages in the streaming industry.
