Mission Produce, Inc. has reported signs of recovery in its avocado farming segment, driven by improving production and a projected increase of approximately 20% in exportable avocado production from its Peruvian farms, expected to reach 120-130 million pounds in fiscal 2026. This is an increase from 105 million pounds in the previous season. The company’s second-quarter sales dipped to $7.7 million from $8.1 million year-over-year, primarily impacted by lower volumes in blueberry packing and mango production, with revenues anticipated to strengthen in the latter half of the year.
The company is implementing ongoing investments in its agricultural operations and expects key support from Normalizing supply conditions and recovering avocado margins. Despite risks such as weather uncertainties and crop yield fluctuations, Mission Produce remains optimistic about performance enhancement post-second quarter.
