SoundHound AI, Inc. (SOUN) reported a revenue of $29.1 million in Q1 2025, reflecting a 151% year-over-year growth. The company also activated over 1,000 new restaurant locations, bringing its total clients to nearly 13,000.
Despite its growing traction in voice AI across automotive and retail sectors, SOUN’s stock has declined by 1.7% over the past three months. Currently, the company has a forward price-to-sales (P/S) ratio of 20.45, higher than the industry average of 19.17. In terms of outlook, SoundHound maintains guidance for 2025 revenue between $157 million and $177 million, aiming for improved adjusted EBITDA and profitability by the year-end.
However, SoundHound is facing stiff competition from major players like Alphabet, Amazon, and Apple, which dominate the AI-powered voice assistant market. Additionally, geopolitical uncertainties have impacted its automotive business, although it expects a sector rebound as OEMs adopt voice commerce solutions.
