New Horizons for AurMac Resource
In a revelation that has sent ripples through the mining world, Banyan Gold has announced a substantial increase in the AurMac resource. Identified as rich in calcareous and quartz vein-hosted deposits, the resource now boasts a staggering 7 million oz. of gold. This development follows extensive exploratory efforts, including 139 drill holes in the Airstrip deposit and 954 holes in the Powerline deposit.
Metallurgical Discoveries
Tara Christie, Banyan Gold’s CEO, hailed the AurMac project’s richness, highlighting its feasibility for conventional mining processes. Metallurgical studies revealed the potential for carbon-in-pulp and carbon-in-leach, flotation, and heap leaching processes, opening up new avenues for extraction and processing.
Robust Nature of the Deposit
The mining community is abuzz with the revelation of potential higher-grade zones, strengthening the case for the robust nature of the deposit. The raised cut-off grade emphasizes the untapped potential within the project, with estimates suggesting a possible 4 million oz. at a grade of 1 g/t across AurMac.
Promising Adjacency
Situated merely 30 km from the renowned Eagle gold project and adjacent to Hecla Mining’s Keno Hill silver mine, the AurMac project enjoys a strategic location. The site offers a three-phase powerline, existing power station, and comprehensive cell phone coverage, further consolidating its potential as a lucrative mining venture.
