Ford and GM Truck Sales Rivalry Continues
In 2025, General Motors (GM) and Ford Motor Company (Ford) showcased strong performances in the full-size truck market, a critical segment for both automakers. GM reported a 6% increase in total sales, leading the U.S. auto industry, with a combined total of 944,927 trucks sold from its Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra models. Meanwhile, Ford’s F-Series achieved sales of 828,832 trucks, marking an 8.3% rise from the previous year and outselling its nearest competitor by around 250,000 trucks.
This ongoing rivalry highlights GM’s position as the full-size pickup leader for the sixth consecutive year, while both companies concluded 2025 with positive sales momentum, setting the stage for competitive growth in the upcoming year.
