BlackBerry’s Alloy Kore: A Game Changer for Boosting QNX Revenue Potential

BlackBerry Limited (BB) reported fiscal Q2 2023 revenues of $163.3 million, a 26% increase year-over-year, with QNX revenue hitting a record $80.3 million, growing by 27%. The company has raised its fiscal 2027 revenue outlook for QNX to $315-$325 million, expecting third-quarter revenue of $82-$88 million.

The launch of the Alloy Kore platform, developed in collaboration with Vector Informatik, aims to streamline automotive software integration. Alloy Kore secured its first design win with Coretura, a joint venture between Volvo Group and Daimler Truck, projected to generate more than $100 million in future royalties.

Additonally, BB plans to broaden its market reach into robotics, industrial automation, medical devices, and more, focusing on its expansion into Physical AI, particularly through partnerships with Momenta and XHEART for autonomous driving applications.
