BP plc has awarded a contract to the OneSubsea joint venture for a subsea boosting system for the Tiber project, a deepwater development in the Gulf of Mexico. This contract came shortly after the joint venture secured a similar deal for BP’s Kaskida project.
The Tiber-Guadalupe project, expected to start production in 2030, received final investment approval in September 2025 and will utilize a new floating production platform with a capacity of 80,000 barrels per day. Both Tiber and Kaskida projects target the complex Paleogene reserves in deep waters.
