September arabica coffee (KCU25) prices fell by $6.85 (2.25%) today, while September ICE robusta coffee (RMU25) dropped by $94 (2.81%). The decline in prices is influenced by Brazil’s coffee harvest, which is 84% complete as of July 23, surpassing last year’s 81% and the five-year average of 77%.
ICE-monitored robusta coffee inventories increased to a one-year high of 6,882 lots, while arabica inventories fell to a three-month low of 806,062 bags. Brazil’s coffee exports for June fell 31% year-over-year to 2.3 million bags, with a notable decrease in robusta exports by 42%. In addition, the USDA projects a global arabica coffee deficit of 8.5 million bags for the 2025/26 marketing year.
