On Thursday, September arabica coffee (KCU25) closed down -1.60 to $290.90 per pound (-0.55%), while September ICE robusta coffee (RMU25) rose +25 to $3,633 per metric ton (+0.69%).

Brazil’s Cooxupe coffee co-op reported that coffee harvest completion was at 31% as of June 27, compared to 42% last year. The USDA projected that Brazil’s 2025/26 coffee production will rise by 0.5% year-over-year to 65 million bags, while Vietnam’s output is set to increase by 6.9% to reach a four-year high of 31 million bags.

Coffee prices have been under pressure due to an increase in global coffee supplies. Last Wednesday, the USDA forecasted a 2.5% year-on-year rise in world coffee production for 2025/26, reaching a record 178.68 million bags.
