On Monday, March arabica coffee (KCH26) closed down by $1.60 (-0.45%) while March ICE robusta coffee (RMH26) rose by $14 (+0.36%). This mixed performance comes as forecasts predict rain over central Brazil this week, alleviating some dryness concerns impacting coffee prices.
Significant data includes a 52% drop in U.S. purchases of Brazilian coffee from August to October, totaling 983,970 bags, due to high tariffs. Meanwhile, Brazil’s 2025 coffee production estimate has been raised by 2.4% to 56.54 million bags. In contrast, Vietnam’s 2025 coffee exports are projected to increase by 17.5% year-over-year to 1.58 million metric tons, contributing to bearish pressure on robusta prices.
