May arabica coffee (KCK26) fell by -$7.35 (-2.44%) and May ICE robusta coffee (RMK26) dropped by -$159 (-4.43%) today, marking a one-week low for arabica and a 7.75-month low for robusta. Prices are being pressured by expectations of a record Brazilian coffee crop, projected at 75.9 million bags for 2026/27, up 15.5% year-on-year according to Marex Group Plc.
Current ICE robusta inventories have decreased to a 3.5-month low of 4,109 lots, while arabica inventories have increased to a 6.25-month high of 585,621 bags. February’s coffee export data shows Brazil’s green coffee exports fell by -27% year-on-year to 2.3 million bags, further contributing to the market’s volatility.
