CoreWeave, Inc. (CRWV) has entered a multi-year partnership with Perplexity to enhance AI innovation and support advanced inference workloads on its cloud infrastructure. This collaboration enables Perplexity to utilize CoreWeave’s dedicated NVIDIA GB200 NVL72 clusters for its Sonar and Search API ecosystem, powering its AI-driven search services. The deployment is currently underway, with Perplexity already running inference workloads using CoreWeave’s Kubernetes Service.
This partnership comes at a time when CoreWeave is aiming to strengthen its growth trajectory amidst challenges related to capital spending and profitability. The agreement is seen as a strategic move to attract high-growth customers in the expanding generative AI ecosystem, alongside existing contracts from major AI developers.
Shares of CoreWeave have surged 98.8% over the past year, significantly outpacing the Internet Software industry, which fell by 10.3%. The company’s current Price/Book ratio stands at 7.92, compared to the industry average of 5.18.
